Connect Your QuickBooks Online Company

Before you start, confirm you can access the right QuickBooks company file. For the broader overview, see Connect Accounting.

Overview

QuickBooks Online uses Intuit OAuth 2.0. TaxConnect only receives the access it needs after you approve the connection and choose the correct company.

Connect QuickBooks Online

  1. Open Connections in TaxConnect.
  2. On the QuickBooks Online card, click Connect.
  3. Sign in to Intuit, approve the read-only scopes, and pick the correct company file if prompted.
  4. Return to TaxConnect and confirm the card shows Active.

Confirm your sync

When the card shows Active, your organization is linked. If you need to reconnect or disconnect later, remove the existing connection first. Common errors usually mean the wrong company was selected.
