Connect Your Xero Organisation

Before you start, make sure you can access the correct Xero organisation. Use this guide for the Xero-specific OAuth flow; for the overview and other paths, start with Connect Accounting.

Overview

TaxConnect uses Xero OAuth 2.0, so you never share your Xero password. After authorisation, choose the right organisation and TaxConnect can read invoices, contacts, and tax settings on demand.

Connect Xero

1. Open Connections in TaxConnect.
2. On the Xero card, click Connect.
3. Sign in to Xero, approve the read-only scopes, and select the correct organisation if prompted.
4. Return to TaxConnect and confirm the Xero card shows Active.

Confirm your sync

Open Invoices to verify the connection. If you need to reconnect or disconnect later, use the active provider card first. Common errors usually mean the wrong organisation was selected.

Disconnecting clears the stored tokens but keeps your invoices and mappings.
